Capitol Medical Center is a private hospital located in Quezon Avenue Cor. Scout Magbanua St. Quezon City, Philippines, 1103. CMC opened its door to public on June 22, 1970. It is considered as the first hospital in the Philippines as the pioneer for the following:

The first successful open heart surgery - 2016
The first Laparoscopic Nephrectomy performed by CMC surgeons in 2003
The establishment of the first center for Spinal Disorder in a private hospital in the country - 1977
The First Kidney Transplant Operation in CMC  November 1970
The acquisition of the first and only D.I.T.I. (Digital Infrared Thermograph Imaging) System in the country 1983

CMC was founded by Mr. Luis C. Clemente and Dr. Thelma N. Clemente and inaugurated on March 19, 1970. According to their website

"From an initial 100 patient bed capacity in 1970, CMC has expanded to 300 beds after years of operation. An outstanding feature of the institution's operation is the continuing sustained program for the upgrading of its facilities to keep abreast with the latest developments in medical and health technology, thereby allowing the highest degree of sophistication and modernity in its services."
