Jack and the Beanstalk

However, the giant himself, who is both fearsome and colossal, soon returns. Jack hides in a cupboard, witnessing the giant's immense power and greed. The giant possesses a hen that lays golden eggs and a harp that plays beautiful melodies.

Seizing an opportunity, Jack steals the hen and the harp from the giant and quickly makes his escape down the beanstalk. As he reaches the ground, he chops down the beanstalk, causing the giant to fall and perish.

With the stolen treasures, Jack and his mother find themselves living comfortably. However, trouble arises when the giant's wife, seeking revenge, tracks down Jack and demands the return of the stolen items.

In some versions of the story, Jack shows remorse for his actions and returns the treasures to the giant's wife. In other versions, Jack outwits the giant's wife and retains the stolen goods.

Regardless, the tale of "Jack and the Beanstalk" teaches several lessons. It emphasizes the consequences of making impulsive decisions, as Jack's trade leads to unexpected and magical consequences.
